Benefits of Membership:
For the person interested in membership in the ACBS, it is certainly fair to ask — What’s in it for me?  Do we have the answer!

  • Being a part of an international organization devoted to the preservation, restoration, and enjoyment of our vintage boat heritage.
  • Being a part of an international network of over 12,000 vintage boating enthusiasts where common interests, fellowship and experiences are shared.
  • You will be listed in the Who’s Who of the antique boating world. Your annual copy will put you in contact with collectors-listing names, addresses and valuable boat and engine specifications.  You will have direct access to a full listing of others who own boats of a particular make, model, year, etc. through an annual Directory of ACBS members with handy cross references by boat builder, geographic location and boat name.
  • You will be identified as an ACBS Member with items from our Society’s Ships Stores. There are great clothes, club ID patches, ties and pins, club burgees and yacht ensigns, name tags and gift items-and always at a nominal cost for members.
  • Immediate access to sources, resources and knowledge needed to help resolve vintage boat restoration, maintenance and operational problems.
  • Subscription to the ACBS national quarterly magazine, The Rudder,  and the LOLCBC club magazine The BoatHouse  which carries news of current events in the vintage boating community as well as historic, restoration and other articles of interest to antique boaters.  Each issue is filled with helpful restoration information, historic profiles, great photos, society news and much, much more.
  • Direct access to the “Trading Dock” section of both magazines where ACBS members can list and find antique boats and marine engines for sale.
  • Availability of the Annual Membership Directory on CD-ROM, including a unique search and find service” for owners of specific boats, engines, etc. A 10% discount on insurance premiums for antique and classic boat insurance purchased through Hagerty Classic Marine Insurance, Inc.
  • You will be invited to explore new boating centers in the USA and Canada each fall at our International Annual Meeting.  It is a wonderful opportunity for you to see old friends and meet new members. You’ll enjoy a variety of boating activities and seminars, an annual business meeting and endless fun and entertainment.
  • Opportunities to belong to one of more chapters of the ACBS.
  • Opportunities to participate in the operation of the Antique and Classic Boat Society, Inc.

But The Most Important Reason  for joining The Antique and Classic Boat Society (ACBS) is your association with others who share a love of old boats. The real fun will begin when you join ACBS! We look forward to welcoming you aboard.
